Nancy Fraher is a life-long citizen of District 17. She attended 12 years of public school in Pembroke, graduated Cum Laude from Plymouth State College and currently resides in Chichester with her husband and daughter. She recently retired after 35 years of teaching, 33 of which she spent teaching in Candia. Nancy also spent several years working for the Department of Defense, where she taught at an American school for families of the 3rd Infantry Division stationed in Germany. In Chichester, she served six years on the School Board and two years as chair of the board. Chichester was named School Board of the Year in 2008. In addition, she served several years as the president of the Candia Education Association.
These experiences as a citizen and professional educator, in addition to her belief that the people of New Hampshire ought to be represented by a civil and responsible political body, have inspired her to run for District 17 State Senate.
If elected, she will bring a voice for the fair funding of public schools to Concord. She will fight for collective bargaining rights for our workers and defend the medical rights of women from the radical Republican agenda. First and foremost, however, she will represent the sovereign will of the People of New Hampshire.
